11.25 – 11.45 Paul Butterick: (Safeguard) – Rodents, difficulties in control and impact on IPM.

 

11.50 – 12.10 Nikolaus Wilke (Thermolignum) - Lower temperature Thermolignum treatment experiments.

 

12.15 – 12.35 Jane Henderson and Christian Baars (Cardiff University) – Presenting IPM results to different audiences.

 

12.40 – 13.00 Rebecca Rees/ Sam Higgs (HRP) - Oligomerus activity

Updates/presentations/discussions

  • The new silverfish species
  • Thermolignum Video about painting treatment.
  • Pest identification with microscopes.
  • Bug Swap.
  • Zoe Simmons from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History
    • Bug pinning workshops. The pinning sessions will also have an IPM focus – how to preserve specimens on sticky traps, how to mount specimens found on traps etc.
  • Tours of NHM stores or Bodleian Library (there will be a need to book your time on arrival)

There will also be an opportunity to purchase a copy of the new publication 'Pests in Houses Great and Small' by David Pinniger and Dee Lauder at a discounted rate!
